Contract opportunity for a remote Computer Programmer who can write, test, debug, and maintain code for software applications, tools, and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Write, test, debug, and maintain clean and efficient code.
- Develop software applications, scripts, tools, and system features based on project requirements.
- Review and improve existing code for performance, reliability, and functionality.
- Collaborate with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to understand technical requirements.
- Troubleshoot software issues and implement fixes.
- Create technical documentation for code, processes, and system updates.
- Follow coding standards, security practices, and development best practices.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of programming concepts and software development.
- Experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, C++, C#, or similar.
- Ability to write clean, reusable, and well-documented code.
- Understanding of databases, APIs, and software testing.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Computer Programmer, Software Developer, or similar role.
- Familiarity with web development, application development, or automation scripting.
- Experience with SQL, Git, and version control tools.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, CI/CD, or Agile development is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
